Daisy Star Quilt Pattern

Designer's Note: This pattern has been updated as of 2026. It has been completely overhauled with new templates, layout, and construction method.

This quilt design was inspired by the traditional “orange peel” quilt block with a fresh twist. Instead of making the flower petals in square blocks, I placed my flower petals within a triangle and to my delight, a little star emerged in the middle of the flower! I hope you enjoy making your own quilty daisy bouquet.

This listing is for a digital quilt pattern (PDF) with templates which includes easy-to-follow fully illustrated instructions for prepping, cutting, sewing, and finishing.

• • Daisy petals are sewn with curved piecing, no appliqué is required. The blocks are sewn with NO Y-seams. 🙂

  • Tools needed: basic quilting supplies (sewing machine, thread, fabric, scissors, etc.), rotary cutter and mat, pencil, iron, and a 60° equilateral triangle quilt ruler (minimum 7.5").
